Chicago — Ardmore, a regional engineering firm, will be the prime consultant in a joint venture with Environmental Design International, Inc, on the $42 million Interstate Route 94 (Bishop Ford Expressway) at Stony Island Feeder Interchange project.
The project consists of two (2) complete bridge replacements, two (2) new bridge decks and bearing replacement, two (2) bridge rehabilitations and one (1) bridge removal. The construction includes new traffic signal and drainage improvements at two (2) intersections on 103rd Street. The project will include the reconstruction of the Stony Island Extension, which includes new jointed pavement and drainage improvements. Multiple interchange ramps and various electrical improvements are planned throughout the project. The project includes detour routes and some night time work for the beam erection for the bridge replacements.
