Chicago — Ardmore Associates, an engineering consulting firm, completed its construction inspection services for the improvements on the Jane Addams Memorial Highway- Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) project. The reconstruction project valued at $48.9 million widened and rebuilt the roadway by performing rubblization or reconstruction of about eight miles of the Main line and shoulders between Mile Markers 62.3 and 69.9. It is located at the Cherry Valley Interchange and IL Route 173.
Ardmore performed survey tasks, field engineering, various construction activities and inspections to maintain clear and accurate project construction documentation and its related activities. The project involved the complete reconstruction of the drainage system, the installation of a new lighting system, the installation of weight in motion sensors and enforcement area, the installation of a new concrete barrier wall, the installation of new permanent pavement markings and signage, and the traffic maintenance and the complete reconstruction of the US 20 overpass bridge.
