As part of a PMO team led by Arcadis, Ardmore was involved the complete removal of a 78,000 sq. ft. building envelope and replacement with a terra-cotta rains-screen envelope with new windows and a new roof system. In addition to the much needed façade replacement, the interior lobby was renovated with a new terrazzo floor, modifications to the circulation desk and the monumental stair. The stair received a new railing system and stringers to improve it aesthetically and to bring it in to code compliance. The project scope also included upgrades to the fire alarm system and the security system.
This project was logistically challenging in that this important community facility had to stay open and operational throughout the entire process, which was achieved through eight construction phases.
