CREATE – Englewood Flyover Grade Separation

The Englewood Flyover is a bridge construction project near 63rd and State Streets that will eventually elevate the tracks for 78 weekday Metra Rock Island trains, to eliminate the conflict with the 60 daily freight and Amtrak trains currently crossing at the same grade. Work began in the fall of 2012, and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2014. The grade separation will eliminate a significant source of train delays, improve neighborhood air quality and reduce noise from idling trains.

Ardmore is a member of the team that provides construction engineering services for this project. Specific responsibilities include observation, measurement and documentation of contractor quantities.
