PROFESSIONAL LICENSED SURVEYING
Ardmore provides an array of survey services, including plat of highways and dedication, topographical, boundary and ALTA surveying, heavy construction layouts for new construction of both buildings and roads, and 3-dimensional models of structures from architectural, civil, and structural drawings.

PLAT OF HIGHWAY AND PLAT OF DEDICATION
We provide pre-design topography and plat preparation for the dedication of roadway and construction easements.

BUILDING HEAVY CONSTRUCTION LAYOUTS
We provide heavy construction layouts for new buildings, setting up control lines and elevations for all the contractors to work off of, measuring as-builts for existing structures and documenting them.

TOPOGRAPHICAL & BOUNDARY SURVEYING
We provide professional topographical and boundary surveys for existing roads, buildings, and structures, documenting existing field conditions, and surveying areas along local watercourses, including hydraulic structures.

ROADWAY HEAVY CONSTRUCTION LAYOUTS
We provide heavy construction layouts for major reconstructions of superhighways, toll roads, and roadways. Ardmore stakes out new roadways, lanes, and pavements for location and elevation, provides layouts for all sewer work, and stakes out right of ways to provide that new barriers are not encroaching onto adjacent properties.

SETTLEMENT SURVEY
We provide settlement surveys for construction projects where vertical or horizontal movement of the surrounding area must be identified. Ardmore sets up control points and maintains a recurring schedule of surveys to audit any movement of earth, streets or structures as required by the project owner.

University of Chicago – Early Childhood Care Center

Provided a detailed topographical and boundary survey for the University of Chicago Early Child Care Center. Two sites were identified and surveys were provided. Project tasks included measuring and locating nine existing structures, directing field crews, checking and importing data, organizing utility information, and preparing plats per University standards.

University of Chicago – Laboratory Schools Renovation/ Expansion Project

Established interior controls and performed interior survey in three areas, Basement of Middle School, Blaine East and West. Facilitated and oversaw 3-dimensional scanning and borescope of existing piping in the Blaine toilet rooms. Deliverables include setting up control, and all associated CAD work as well as final as-builts.

Mariano’s Market, Chicago, IL

Ardmore’s surveying team obtained surveys to be used for design purposes including existing topography, utilities and infrastructure. The team conducted additional surveying to obtain supplemental topographic information for design that minimized street reconstruction.

AMTRAK Union Station

Performed construction layout and settlement surveys for the rail yards at Amtrak’s Union Station. Used existing control to provide layout for track realignment and utility construction. Additional support services include twice daily settlement surveys. Deliverables include setting up control, field staking and all associated CAD work as well as final as-builts.

Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA)

Ardmore provided construction inspection services for the improvements on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway between IL Route 173 and the Cherry Valley Interchange. The work consisted of widening and rebuilding of 8 miles of the main line and shoulders between Mile Markers 62.3 and 69.9. Ardmore performed surveying including progress cross sections and elevation verifications for items such as lighting foundations and storm sewers.

City of Chicago, Department of General Services

Ardmore provided professional consulting services for roofing inspection and roofing construction supervision for various City owned buildings. Ardmore completed reports and conducted surveys including complete visual roof surveys and Infrared surveys.

Chicago Park District

Ardmore performed a topographic survey of the 31st Street Harbor. The survey was drawn utilizing CAD; tied to established and permanent corners and bench marks; containing minimum beginning points, property lines, building types and locations, contours; including all utilities and general information, containing floodplain and floodway information data, as was applicable, on all drawings.

Chicago Public Building Commission

For the South East Area High School, Ardmore performed an ALTA survey, drawn utilizing CAD; tied to established and permanent corners and bench marks; and containing minimum beginning points, property lines, building types and locations, contours; including all utilities and general information, containing floodplain and floodway information data, as was applicable, on all drawings.

Microsoft, Inc.

Ardmore provided heavy construction layout for the new Microsoft office building in North Lake, Illinois. Duties included setting up control lines for the subcontractors to work off of, measured as-builts for existing structures and documented them.

Lurie Children’s Memorial Hospital

Ardmore Associates provided surveying and 3-D modeling for the Chicago hospital. Ardmore provided construction layout, establishing control lines, elevations and as-builts; and developed 3-D models of the concrete structure from the architectural, civil and structural drawings to 1/8″ tolerance.

RUSH Presbyterian Hospital

Ardmore Associates provided surveying for the Chicago hospital, performing as a sub-consultant to Concrete Structures, with Power/Jacobs as the General Contractor. The hospital is a 16 story tall structure consisting of concrete and steel. Ardmore provided construction layout, establishing control lines, elevations and as-builts.

Proton Radiation Hospital

Ardmore Associates provided surveying for this hospital in Warrenville, Illinois. The hospital is a two-story tall structure consisting of concrete and steel. Ardmore provided construction layout, establishing control lines, elevations and as-builts.
