University of Illinois, Champaign – Timothy J. Nugent Hall and Ikenberry Dining Facility

Ardmore provided Construction Management and engineering support for the construction of the University of Illinois, Champaign – Timothy J. Nugent Residence Hall and Ikenberry Dining Facility which, when completed, will be the second or third largest dining facility in the United States. The dining facility is a steel framed building with a masonry wall and some glass curtain walls. The residence hall is a concrete reinforced building. The first floor
of this residence hall is designed with a Beckwith system for the handicapped. Both the dining facility and the residence hall are LEED projects, and are to comply with the requirements for a LEED “Silver” certification.

Ardmore provided construction management and engineering support for the enclosure packages for the skin which include the curtain wall, aluminum windows doors, aluminum panels, structural studs, sheathing, and roofing. Ardmore also provided MEP oversight.
